The Sun Trevor Hotel is situated in its unique position overlooking the spectacular Vale of Llangollen.
From it's elevated position upon the hillside, there are views of the fast flowing River Dee, a fisherman's paradise for the local salmon. The famous Llangollen canal is only a stones throw from our front door, which makes it a great location for canal boats to moor up and enjoy our superb home cooked food.
The location of the Sun Trevor is also popular with walkers, cyclists, climbers and with it's newly built children's play area, it's popular with families and children of all ages. The Sun Trevor is a family owned business who take pride in offering a high level of service to their customers.
We also boast of our ability to provide excellent bar and catering facilities; locally at the Royal International Pavilion, the Gardening show and the Balloon Festival, which are both major annual events for the town of Llangollen. We also provide the bar and catering facilities at the Stiwt Theatre in Rhosllanarhugog and the barn at Trevor Villa Barn, Trevor.

ON A CRISP late Autumn afternoon, I can think of few places I'd rather enjoy a traditional Sunday lunch than in the garden of The Sun Trevor, overlooking the Vale of Llangollen.
The pub itself is a charming place with a large open fire, exposed beams and a cosy restaurant with spectacular views from its prominent position on Sun Bank.
On this particular afternoon the pub was fairly busy, with a number of day-trippers stopping off to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat in the sunshine.
My girlfriend, Holly, and I were having lunch with another couple, Ian and Carol, who we'd met on holiday, a few weeks earlier.
They are from Nantwich but often visit the area for a day out, walking with the dog and an unexpected phone call from them that morning had prompted this meeting.
It was getting a bit late by the time we arrived and we ordered food straight away - roast beef for Ian and I, lasagne for Holly and a jacket potato with Cajun chicken for Carol.
We took a seat at a bench outside and chatted about the holiday and what we have done since we got back.
The tranquillity of the setting, the perfect Autumnal weather and changing hues of the trees around us made for a lovely, relaxing place to eat.
The meals were brought over by a small team of smiling waitresses, each one laden with steaming plates of food, dishes filled with vegetables and potatoes, condiments and cutlery.
The portions were very generous and the two thick slices of beef set down before me looked very appetising and were cooked nicely pink.
I like beef as rare as it possibly can be but appreciate that this is not to everyone's taste and am, personally, always relieved to see that it has not been "well done" as some diners would prefer.
But this was just right, rare enough to satisfy me but cooked enough so as not to be off putting to those who don't like the sight of blood.
As well as plenty of potatoes and vegetables, the yorkshire pudding was ample and the gravy suitably rich.
Holly's lasagne was promptly described as 'delicious' and Carol's jacket potato, served with lashings of chicken and salad garnish, was more than enough for a 'light bite'.
The beef was tender and tasty and was nicely complemented by a generous dollop of horseradish sauce.
Everyone seemed very happy with their meals and very content when they had finished.
It was a very enjoyable lunch, at a very reasonable price.
Afterwards we said our goodbyes and Ian and Carol went for what I'm sure was, a very leisurely walk and Holly and I went home for a siesta.
The Sun Trevor is a great place to stop for lunch, whether you take advantage of the garden and spectacular views on a nice day, or the warmth of the fire on a cold winters day.
